This was a project in the works from the beginning we want to pace ourselves so we can stay financially ok and physically less drained..we looked at toilets and sinks back in February and March and could not conclusively decide on anything except for a faucet which will be pictured below. Also bathroom upgrades are expensive and we both lack plumbing skills
We had a hard decision on what style sink we wanted. We knew we didn’t want a sink that would require invasive construction like major sawing and drilling etc. So we made a decision on the pretty bellies sink pictured we really loved the floating sink next to it or what is it called….. Believe an Grecian bowl sink correct me if I’m wrong though, there was a major price difference so it had major impact on out decision in going with the white sink.
So many options as well but a lot of them we had to pass on because of sizing which by the way make sure you measure everything! And do it right and accurate cause you’ll pay later if you don’t take special care in your what I like to call pre work with this type of items. Also to we kind of made a boo boo we should have checked online for our toilet we picked out prior because when we got there it was sold out so we had to go yup in cost for a toilet that my boyfriend felt would fit the bathroom I wanted to go for a cheaper toilet but he wasn’t having it so we went to the next best toilet.
We had the whole living room full!!
This was the one thing I wanted so badly I love this faucet since I laid eyes on it! I had to have it it’s modern but also eco friendly doesn’t really use up much water.Which for us is a big deal we run on well water and I try at least to conserve it.http://www.lowes.com/pd_248441-52361-LL800-BN_1z0visb__?productId=3684778&pl=1&Ntt=giagni+faucets
The toilet like I mentioned earlier on was our second choice we wanted a cheaper slightly modified version of this toilet by the same maker but it was all sold out.http://www.lowes.com/pd_479779-20602-98977-0_1z0wh54__?productId=4777878&pl=1
This was also a newer decision for us because the sink we saw previously was gone as well! so we had to really look at the sinks and make a decision that would be beneficial for us.We need a small sink to which seemed damn there impossible to find a cute sink for less then 25’in but we did the white wasn’t my color of choice either but it was either we go with white or espresso and that espresso color was to dark so we decided on white and now that we had it set up for a bit it really looks great.http://www.lowes.com/pd_648775-444-CE29124-SS_1z0vgdmZ1z0visbZ1z0xzqlZ2zgid__?productId=50311379&Ns=p_product_price|0&pl=1
This was the before, I will say the next project with be replacing the linoleum maybe next year it is discolored and has the marks from the pedestal sink we replaced the sink and toilet were replaced due to staining from the lead in our well which I will post about in a later post because we still keep getting residual residue from the lead build up….
We also re-caulked the tub but that turned out badly,We really have to do it again. And I’m thinking really hard on painting the trim on the floorboards and door trims probably white as well to add the illusion of a bigger space etc. Also as you can see we had to tape the old toilets seat up because it pinched my butt and took some skin with it blah so we had to replace those items no way out of it.
Yes those are my diying sandals I have paint all over them.
This paint was for the bathroom downstairs that we had gotten for after we had finished painting that bathroom with mold control paint since all the rooms downstairs have quite a bit.But we decided on saving money and time and just use that paint for upstairs so that I wouldn’t have to get color chips/swatches to pick a color and it was the best decision too! I really love how it looks up here the only draw back is I thought it was suppose to be more gray and it looks very light greenish gray but other than that its a great shade. Also I’ll have a pick that has the shade name listed,I will be making a separate post on how I pick the colors I like and that go great in the home and the shades I’ve used up until now.
