Now that the warmer weather is here and driving us crazy. We decided to go ahead and get an much needed ceiling fans.So we went to our local Lowe’s and got a pretty good deal on two ceiling fans,we needed two of them one for the main bedroom which had only a gold /glass light fixture
I say crappy because it’s a 12 ft ceiling and it has this tiny white lightbulb holder there lol.
I’ll update this later with before and after pictures so be sure to check back :). Now as far as the savings on the fans (which will be pictured below) I had coupons sent to me from Lowe’s,one offered $50 off a $200 purchase and another one for $10 off $50 purchase,as well as the in-store and online offer that was giving 15%off of I stock fans.So we used the $50 off coupon and got these two fans and a really pretty hall table for under $250. We also paid for the living room fan to get installed(Still not installed yet they’re telling us it will be $140 without the weight bracket! with the weight bracket it will be $185 ….So we have delayed having an decision because it’s expensive.) or else it would have been cheaper.we couldn’t install that one because our ceiling is 12ft high and we don’t have the ladder for that height.we also have to purchase a rod for that one as well because the light that exist there is on a angle and hard to do.So just keep in mind the extra cost if you have the same issue we have. This weekend we installed the bedroom one which is suppose to take five minutes but really drove us crazy and took 2hrs! Ugh but we got it done and it looks really good, I recommend you only do it on your own if you have knowledge of basic electrical works I didn’t but since my boyfriend works with elevators he did, but I’m glad cause It can be really confusing and I was more then happy to cheer him on and give him the occasional pep talk and wipe the sweat off his face lol, but I will say once the electrical part is done the fan assembly part was relatively easy.So that’s it for this project I will say this was a intermediate to expert level work so take your time picking the perfect fan for your house.
Always make sure you check the fans to see if the provide hanging options like the one in the picture.
The hallway table (sorry for the brightness)PS it’s really a sofa table but we don’t have a sofa yet!!!lol
